Michael recently moved on from his post as Director of the School of Acting at Arts Ed, and is now at Central Saint Martin's as Course Director of MA Screen Acting and MA Screen Directing, Writing. He is currently renewing the courses and they will be relaunched next year as MA Film, Directing and MA Film, Acting

Michaels book "So, you Want to be a Screen Actor?" will be published in July, by Nick Herne, who have also commissioned Michael to write a new book on film making, currently titled "The Complete Guide to Film Making"

Michael most recently directed an advert for Soho House Hotels; "London Calling", starring Downton Abbey Star, Brendan Coyle

Michael has completed a screen play - current working title "Something Wicked"; a re-working of the Faust story, where a struggling actress sells her soul for fame. The script is currently with Legendary Films.

Michael also has a couple of projects in development with Andrew Smith. "The Night Runners" is set around the terrible events of the Soweto massacre and "Pit Bull" is based on a true story about modern dog fighting on the estates of South East London.

The Sea Change

Michael directed and co-wrote the feature film "The Sea Change" - a co-production between Winchester Films and Sogadasa Films of Spain. It is a romantic comedy starring Ray Winstone, Maryam D'Abo and Sean Chapman

"The Sea Change" was selected for the Sundance Film Festival, where the film was premiered. The film received excellent reviews and was sold to major distributors around the world
